Are you looking for a new torque converter for your drag racing needs? There are absolutely no compromises with ATI sprag-equipped Treemaster® racing torque converters! Unlike other torque converter manufacturers that use refurbished OEM parts, ATI uses all new components. In fact, ATI is the only independent company that has this capability. Because of its ability to control all aspects of the manufacturing process, ATI has the advantage of designing each component for optimum efficiency and total durability.

Each Treemaster® racing torque converter is custom configured to your exact application to put the power to the ground. It’s the perfect compliment to an ATI drag race transmission.

ATI Treemaster Torque Converters include such features as the “C” series roller clutch, anti-ballooning plates, centerless ground hub, inner blade support, Torrington bearings and furnace brazing. They’re drag race quality units designed for optimum performance and reliability, run after run!

Since ATI maintains an ample supply of new, in-house built components required to custom-build a torque converter to the exact needs of the customer, many orders can be turned-around the following business day after it arrives.

Many factors affect your reaction time but most people do not realize a torque converter is a very big part of that. MRT stands for Minimum Reaction Time and is one of our most popular drag racing torque converter lines. Most of these race torque converters have the unique designed cast steel front cover and we have optimized new stator designs on hand. Bolt Together Treemaster® Converters - 8" & 9" with Lock-Up optionTorque Converter Line

ATI now offers Bolt-Together and Lock-Up versions of their popular Treemaster and MRT Converters. For racers who frequently send out their converters for stall changes or overhauls, they will save both time and money by having the option to service and adjust the converter themselves – at home or at the track! Each unit comes with a billet aluminum rear cover, stator, brazed turbine and pump half. ATI offers several different stator options specific to converter size. 8” pumps are adjustable and ATI offers pump options for 9” & 10” converters allowing for a multitude of possible combinations. ATI also offers a range of Lock-Up Bolt-Together Converters that provide 0% slip, minimum ET and maximum MPH!

  Average Weight savings on an 8" unit is 2.5 lbs, and

Billet Aluminum Stators are now available!
ATI is proud to offer billet aluminum stators with various designs, great for many different types of racing. ATI’s new full 5 axis machine is able to make a true airfoil blade, as opposed to the flat shape of most steel and other welded stators. The airfoil shape causes the fluid to increase in speed as it passes over the blade. Torque multiplication is far greater, producing free energy and coupling is better down track. These are available in numerous blade numbers and angles that match ATI’s original cast aluminum stators, great for Stockers and Super Stockers looking for every little number. The second version, each blade is flat, allowing for more blade options and angles for other forms of racing. ATI can manufacture flat blade designs, with as few as 7 blades and up to 23 blades. with blade angles ranging from 29° to 75° great for small tire and big tire tuning as well as bracket racing. Compared to steel stators, ATI’s billet aluminum stators are lighter by 60%, which lowers the inertia of the spinning unit, decreasing the load on the sprag or diode when it has to stop the stator helping with longevity.

 


Torque Converter Freshen-Up and Overhaul Services from ATI
Torque Converter Line
To retain the superior quality and performance of your ATI Torque Converter, return it directly to ATI for rebuild or repair. The basic overhaul consists of a complete torque converter breakdown. Each part is inspected and cleaned and new bushings and bearings are installed. Approximately 95% of all converters are typically rebuilt and shipped within 48 hours after being received.

Freshen up prices start at $249.00. This price does not include replacement of hard parts, stall changes or converter upgrades. Freshen-ups for non-ATI Converters start at $295. No warranties or guarantees are offered on non-ATI units. Download our Torque Converter Overhaul sheet here
