Sales / Technical Specialist – High Performance Automotive

Position Overview

ATI Performance Products, Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales / Technical Specialist with a strong background in drag racing and automatic transmissions. This in-house position focuses on providing technical guidance and product support to customers, with sales as a supporting function.

If you are outgoing and knowledgeable about automatic transmissions and drag racing, and like to work with customers, please email us your resume. You must be able to answer technical questions about products and racer combinations as well as suggest products to improve the racer’s experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Guidance and technical support before, during, and after the sale.
• Proactive help with racer combinations and tech advice
• Product marketing help
• Identification of new products by remaining on the cutting edge of industry needs
• Customer relations via phone, email support, and walk-ins

Requirements:

• Confident, self-motivated individual that is customer-oriented with outstanding communication skillsStrong computer and data entry skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced sales environment
• Must like phone sales (all sales come in to us!)
• Must have experience in the field of automotive high performace racing.

This is NOT a typical sales position. It is more tech with the ability to sell. If you do not have a strong knowledge of drag racing and automatic transmissions, you will not be able to work in this position. This position is for someone who knows racing and the industry.

Mechanical Engineer

4-Day Work Week – 3-Day Weekends Every Week!

Position Overview

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a passion for motorsports and high-performance engineering? Do you want to design components that power some of the fastest cars on the track—while enjoying a three-day weekend every week?

ATI is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our in-person engineering team. This role focuses on the design, development, and optimization of high-performance drivetrain components for racing and performance automotive applications. You will work closely with manufacturing, quality, and assembly teams, with a primary focus on design and design modifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-precision drivetrain components for motorsports and performance vehicles

• Lead multiple engineering projects from concept through production

• Perform stress analysis, FEA, and tolerance stack-ups to ensure durability under extreme conditions

• Collaborate with machinists and technicians to optimize designs for manufacturability and assembly

• Support testing, validation, and continuous improvement using real-world performance data

• Maintain detailed documentation of designs, calculations, and test results

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 5–10 years of product development experience (motorsports or high-performance automotive preferred)

• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (Autodesk Inventor preferred)

• Strong understanding of GD&T

Technical Knowledge

• Fatigue and stress life prediction for rotating components

• Tolerance analysis and stack-up calculations

• Materials science, including metallurgy, heat treatment, and surface coatings

Manufacturing & Measurement Experience

• CNC machining, welding, and precision assembly

• Use of precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, hardness testers, CMM)

Additional Skills

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

• Strong problem-solving mindset

• Ability to work independently or within a small, agile team

CNC Mill Machinist

4-Day Work Week – 3-Day Weekends Every Weekend

Position Overview

ATI Racing is seeking a highly skilled CNC Mill Machinist with experience running Haas and Makino machines. Experience with 4th and 5th axis machining is preferred. This is a senior-level, skilled position and is not intended for entry-level or training candidates.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Extensive CNC milling and metalworking experience

• Produce precision parts efficiently with minimal supervision

• Deliver fast turnaround times while maintaining quality standards

• Work accurately with close tolerances (thousandths)

• Adjust programs and offsets as needed

Additional Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years CNC Mill experience

• Manufacturing machining experience required

CNC Lathe Machinist / Set-Up

Position Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components that meet our high standards of quality and performance. We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist who can read drawings, make offset changes, use precision measuring equipment, and confidently run advanced equipment including Doosan and Takisawa 3-axis lathes with live tooling, robot loaders, and Emag turning centers. We have the equipment—you bring the expertise.

You must be comfortable working with very close tolerances (thousandths), setting up jobs, running first articles, and making program adjustments as needed. This position is critical to delivering top-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes according to specifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards

• Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator (including setup) or similar role

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes

CMM Inspector / Programmer

Position Overview

ATI Racing is seeking an experienced CMM Inspector and/or Programmer to support quality control operations in a high-volume precision machine shop. Automotive and mechanical inspection experience is highly valued.

Programming Software: Hexagon Metrology PC-DMIS (latest version)

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret complex engineering and tool design drawings

• Verify adherence to prints, specifications, and workmanship standards

• Perform dimensional and positional inspections using surface plates and CMM equipment

• Inspect finished parts and assemblies using CMMs, precision tools, and visual methods

• Accurately document as-built data, nonconformance reports, and traceability records

• Work closely with machinists and engineers to resolve quality issues

• Communicate effectively with engineering, management, and shop personnel

• Ensure gauges and instruments are calibrated prior to use

• Troubleshoot inspection issues efficiently

• Maintain daily inspection checks and electronic records

• Work independently using established procedures and technical knowledge

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations

• Proficiency with dial calipers and micrometers (thousandths tolerance)

• Strong understanding of shop math, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry

• Familiarity with manufacturing tools and equipment

• Strong troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills

• Ability to handle physical demands of Quality Control

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
