Superplate Flexplates

Superplates are manufactured
from a super-strong material with a 90,000 lbs. tensile
strength and 80,000 lbs. yield strength to withstand thousands
of cycles. Superplates are laser machined to avoid the
heat and stress stamping inflicts on them. The crank bolt
holes are bored in position to exacting tolerances in
both size and location on CNC machines. The Superplate
uses the "grip length" of the 6 or 8 crank bolts
as dowels to prevent the plate from moving under high
torque conditions.
Unlike "billet plates" that violate the "flex
principle" of a flexplate, the Superplate flexes
like OEM plates are designed to do, absorbing the numerous
machining tolerances that exist in our "non exact"
world.
ATI Superplates are neutral balanced for use
in internally balanced engines and exceed SFI 29.1 &
29.2 ratings.

SFI Flexplates

ATI Flexplates are created from custom drawn
SFI-spec chromoloy steel and are SFI 29.1 Certified.
The flexplates are double MIG/TIG welded for additional
strength and lasting precision pass after pass. Each ATI
flexplate is manufactured and toleranced from OEM drawings
to ensure a precise fit and location.
Each plate is quality inspected to EXCEED the flatness
and run-out tolerances of the OEM units and is precision
balanced on Hines digital equipment with a resolution

Ford
ATI flexplates fit aftermarket converters only. Ford Flexplate
kits include flexplate, CNC-machined crank piloted spacer
and crank bolts. Ford flexplates with 164 teeth have an
11-7/16 bolt circle, and flexplates with 157 teeth
have a 10-1/2 bolt circle for Ford converters. Both
have factory installed 10-3/4 & 11-1/2
bolt circles for GM converters but only the 10-3/4
bolt circle is usable for the 157 tooth flexplates due
to ring gear interference. ATI Ford Flexplates are flat.
They will accommodate ONLY converters where the drive
pad is ABOVE the converter body. |

be on the crank for balancing or match-balanced to the unit
that was originally balanced with the crank.
- For six pad converters 10 3/4 BC
or 11 1/2BC bolting, order flexplate 915542. $2246.55

- 50.0 oz. in. 1981 and up 5.0 L ONLY.
OEM flexplate weight is 4 1/4"x 7/8" x 7/16"
thick.
- LS1 flexplate sold only as a kit.
Includes flexplate, crank adapter and bolts. Requires a
custom aftermarket converter.
- Does not fit 5.7L Jeep Grand Cherokee.
OEM and std Chevy converter bolt holes require longer crank
bolts - Pt #951365.
- To order replacement parts: Be sure
to specify the date of original order. Parts shipped prior
to January 2007 have different dimensions and part numbers
(non-X numbers).
